The son of two educators, Alex Bailey always wanted to be a teacher. Growing up in Boise, Idaho, his entire childhood revolves around being at school. Whether it was attending as a student, participating in the various sports and activities on offer, or just hanging out with friends after school, most of his childhood was spent at Boise schools. He attended both the University of Idaho and Boise State University in order to receive his degree in elementary education. He graduated in the spring of 2010 and has been teaching at Whittier since that fall. In his free time, he enjoys watching football, playing with his dog, and painting.
