Bienvenidos! Soy la maestra Cayero y me encanta el programa bilingue y en especial Segundo grado. Un poco mas sobre mi: Naci en Boise pero creci en el Pais Vasco, Espana. Me gradue de Boise State con dos carreras, educacion secundaria y educacion bilingue (elemental), ademas de un enfasis en estudios vascos. He trabajado con ninos la mayor parte de mi vida. Los pasados cinco anos he sido la maestra principal de la unica escuela de immersion del idioma vasco aqui en Boise donde ensenaba contenido ademas de cultura vasca. Actualmente tambien soy una de las coordinadoras para NABO lo que me da la oportunidad de viajar por norte America ensenando y entrenando a otr@maestr@s bilingues. Mi meta para este ano es que mis alumnos amen la ensenanza y mantengan la curiosidad de querer aprender enternamente, ademas de apoyar y animar a los alumnus de que consigan ser quienes quieren ser. 

Welcome! My name is Itxaso Cayero but you can call me "Maestra Cayero". Although I was born in Boise I grew up in the Spanish side of the Basque country. I graduated from Boise State with a double major in bilingual/ESL and Spanish as a second language plus a Basque Studies minor. I was the main teacher at the only Basque language immersion school outside of the Basque homeland for 5 years, where I taught content as well as Basque culture and traditions. I am also currently one of the Language Coordinators and teachers for the North American Basque Organizations, Inc. which gives me the opportunity to teach all over the nation and talk at conferences and teach workshops for future language teachers. My goal for this year is to help your child acquire the Spanish language and become a lifelong learner. I will make sure to push all my students to be the best form of themselves they can be, as well as being proud of who they are and help them achieve who they want to become.
